The Griffin Recreation Center is hosting their annual Ice Boogie steak night fundraiser happening tomorrow, March 8th. The supper runs from 5-8 P.M. with the doors and bar opening at 4 P.M.

They’ll be grilling some 10 oz. ribeye steaks with all the fixings available and it costs $28. They’ll also have an adult burger and a child burger available for $18 and $10. Kids aged 5 and under can enjoy the burger for free. All proceeds from the steak night will go towards the Griffin Recreation Center, which treasurer Randi Maurer states, is a hub of activity in Griffin all year long.

“This is our big annual fundraiser that we do, we have a couple of others, but all of the funds raised goes back towards the (Griffin) Rec Center. We do lots of fun things for kids throughout the year, we have our outdoor rink that we have all winter. So, this just goes towards operating and maintenance costs as well.”

Alongside the delicious food, the Ice Boogie will have lots of fun for everyone. There will be a silent auction and 50/50 available. There is also a chicken plop bingo and a kid’s fishing pond.  There is also an online auction fundraiser in collaboration with the Ice Boogie, with funds raised from that going towards the Griffin Recreation Center. More details surrounding that can be found on their Facebook event page.

Tickets for the steak night can be purchased at the door. For more details surrounding the Ice Boogie fundraiser, follow them on their Facebook page or reach out to Randi Maurer at (306) 861-7182.
