The second winner for the Split the Pot lottery has been announced.
This round's winner is from Wetaskiwin, and not only that, but she had previously won during the first round of Split the Pot as well.
The winner won the big grand prize for this round, earning herself $134,3745, while in the first round, she won a $10,0000 early bird prize, with her money for the tickets going towards the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation.
She bought her tickets before the first prize deadline, which meant that her ticket was entered into all of the draws for the cash prizes.
The final total raised for the second round was $447,880.
The Split the Pot lottery helps to raise money for 31 healthcare foundations across Alberta, including the Crowsnest Pass Health Foundation, the High River District Health Care Foundation, and the Sheep River Health Trust.
Tickets for the second round were being sold until January 16, and they chose 13 tickets to take home half of the earning from this lottery, with one person claiming 60 per cent of the payout, while two winners split 20 per cent of the payout, and the remaining 10 winners split the last 20 per cent of the payout.
