Loblaw Companies Limited is introducing a 'T' label for products impacted by tariffs from the United States.
The labels will appear on all Loblaws retail and grocery chains in the coming weeks, including the Real Canadian Liquor Store, No Frills, and Shoppers Drug Mart in Strathmore.
Although Loblaws says grocery prices won't immediately rise, fresh produce and other imports may see price hikes in the coming weeks.

The 'T' is designed to help customers know which products are directly sourced from the U.S. The company will also begin using a maple leaf symbol to highlight products prepared in Canada.
According to Loblaws President Per Bank, the tariff price changes will be removed once the tariffs are lifted.
Other Loblaws-owned stores include Maxi, Zehrs, Fortinos, Your Independent Grocer, Provigo, and T&T Supermarket.
