Dust off your boots and get ready to two-step next Saturday, March 22nd.

No, it's not for a wedding or a family reunion but for a rock'n country cabaret with the Mark Parsons Band.

The fundraiser is being hosted by the High River District Health Care Foundation.

Fund development and communications officer with the foundation, Cathy Couey, who grew up going to Meadowbank for cabarets, is really looking forward to it.

"We're bringing back a good old country cabaret! When I say country, it's because it's out in the country at the Meadowbank Hall... enjoy going to cabarets and having an opportunity to dance, get together with your friends, and so, we're bringing that back. It's great for everyone's spirit, get the community together. We were looking for an opportunity to do a little bit of a smaller fundraising event."

With tickets only being $40, which also includes table snacks and a late lunch, Couey expects them to sell like hotcakes.

"We have limited numbers for sure, limited numbers available to fit in the hall, and you can get your tickets either online at High River Health Foundation, or in Nanton at the Nanton Community Health Centre, or at Century 21 Foothills in town here."

Funds raised will go towards rural and youth mental health programs and initiatives in the Foothills.

You can purchase your tickets through showpass
