Innisfail is poised for growth with the exciting development of Napoleon Lake South, a new residential community that promises to expand the town’s horizons. Located in the southwest portion of Innisfail, this development is set to meet the burgeoning demand for housing in central Alberta.

"It’s adjacent to Highway 54, so there's good access to get in and out of town," says Ken Kowalchuk, Communications & Marketing Manager for the Town of Innisfail, highlighting the convenient location. With 62 residential lots available, including detached homes starting at $101,900, townhomes, and duplexes, Napoleon Lake South offers a diverse range of housing options.

The demand for lots and land in Innisfail is undeniable. "Yes, just judging from what we see in the market, houses are selling very quickly and there's very low inventory at this time, so there seems to be a high demand," Kowalchuk confirms. This reflects the broader housing crunch across Canada, making Innisfail’s expansion timely and necessary.

Innisfail itself is a highly desirable place to live. The town boasts an impressive array of amenities, including a wildlife park, a ski hill, pair of lakes, a swimming pool, a twin arena, and a beautiful golf course. It’s a community that balances natural beauty with recreational opportunities, making it an ideal place to call home.

"The neighborhood is going to include a mix of housing types," Kowalchuk notes, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the development. "We're expecting construction on the lots to begin in the fall of 2025."

Due to the high demand, the Town of Innisfail has implemented a lot draw process to ensure fairness. "So we're doing a lot draw process which ensures fair and equitable process for everyone," Kowalchuk explains. "Basically, the lots will be available for people to submit tenders on.  It's an actual event that will take place on April 10th. And people do have to attend the event on April 10th to put their names in for individual lots."

To help prospective buyers navigate this process, an information session will be held on March 19th from noon until 2 PM at the Library and Learning Center in Innisfail. This session will allow individuals to familiarize themselves with the lot draw event. To RSVP for the March 19th event, send an email to  ask@innisfail.ca.
