No one was injured following an apartment fire Monday evening. 

The blaze broke out around 6:45 p.m. in a three-storey apartment building in the 600 block of Ellice Avenue. 

Smoke was filling the hallways of the building when crews arrived. Firefighters quickly located the fire in one of the suites and knocked it down within half an hour. 

Residents were able to evacuate safely and no injuries were reported. 

The city's Emergency Social Services team responded to the scene to help find temporary housing for displaced residents.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
