It's election day for residents of Transcona.
A byelection was called after the seat was left open following the death of former education minister Nello Altomare, who died after a battle with cancer on Jan. 14.
The four official candidates for Transcona are former Olympian Susan Auch running as an independent, Brad Boudreau running for the Liberals, Shannon Corbett running for the NDP and former city councillor Shawn Nason running as a PC.
Voters can cast their ballots at any polling location, not just the one listed on their voter information card, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Polling location details can be found on the Elections Manitoba website.
There are currently 33 New Democrats, 21 Progressive Conservatives, one independent Liberal, one independent member and one vacant seat in the Manitoba legislature.
