Many residents of the Town of Strathmore are mourning the loss of Barb Narajiwsky, who recently passed away.
She died on Saturday, Mar. 15.
Narajiwsky served as the food and beverage manager at the Strathmore Family Centre for nearly a decade, with the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings offering their condolences through a social media post.
"Her dedication, warmth, and hard work made a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of working alongside her," wrote the Kings.
Narajiwsky was born in Manitoba in 1950 before moving to Alberta in 1989. She also served as the president of the Strathmore Farmers' Market, president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 10, and as a volunteer with the Strathmore Lions Club.
"Barb’s departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to feel the warmth of her kindness and a taste of her baking," wrote Wheatland Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
A cause of death was not given.
