It was another great Classroom of the Month today!
This time, Sunny was warmly welcomed by Mr. Richter’s Grade 6 class.
Before heading to Lacombe Upper Elementary School, we filled the station vehicle with prizes from our sponsors and stopped by Boston Pizza Lacombe to pick up lunch for the class.
The class was so excited to have pizza for lunch and even more excited to open their prizes!
During our visit, Mr. Richter did a quick interview in front of the class for the radio, and then the students got to ask the important questions – like how old Sunny is (19), and why Sunny wears sunglasses.
“I've taught for a long time and I haven't had a class this great, everybody gets along with everybody, they are great helpers in the classroom,” Mr. Richter said. “They like getting their homework done, so I'm very happy with them and hopefully they keep pushing on right to the end of June.”
The class was nominated by Carol-Lee Ehr, an Educational Assistant who works with the students.
“This group of students is GREAT! Kind, fun, caring, and all-around good people to one another,” Ehr said in her nomination.
We are so excited to celebrate the next Classroom of the Month, which could be yours!
