Woman ejected, killed in rollover after failing to wear seatbelt

A 47-year-old female is dead following a single-vehicle rollover on Provincial Road 201 on Saturday morning. 

On March 22, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Emerson RCMP received a report of a vehicle rollover near Sundown Road. 

When officers located the vehicle, they saw that it had left the roadway and collided with trees before rolling. The vehicle was being driven by a 47-year-old female who was not wearing a seatbelt. She was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene. 

Investigators believe the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed going westbound on Provincial Road 201 when it left the road and rolled.
