Country legend Shania Twain will make her way to Calgary once again.
Twain was announced as the 2025 Calgary Stampede Parade Marshal on Wednesday, Mar. 26.
"A global superstar, celebrated songwriter and style icon, Twain is a five-time Grammy winner and one of music and fashion’s most renowned trailblazers," the Stampede said in a release.
"With six albums released and more than 100 million albums sold worldwide, Twain remains the top-selling female country pop artist of all time and is set to bring her powerhouse performance as part of the Stampede Concert Series to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday, July 5."
Staff with the Stampede noted that past Parade Marshals included stars from the entertainment industry, as well as mountain climbers, Olympians, astronauts, and cancer survivors.
Past Marshals like actors Owen Crow Shoe and Kevin Costner, along with former Siksika Nation Chief Joseph Weasel Child have led the event.
The Calgary Stampede begins on Friday, July 4 at 9 a.m.
"Immediately following the Parade, guests can take advantage of Stampede Parade to Park presented by Suncor by going straight from the Parade to Stampede Park to receive free admission from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.," the Stampede added.
