Spring break fun: Top family activities in Winnipeg

Spring Break is just around the corner.  Here's a look at some of the activities for the kids or the entire family.

Assiniboine Park Zoo March 29- April 6

• Programming for all ages
• Join for a full week of fun at the Zoo over Spring Break! Special activities will include Zoo chats with our animal care team, crafts, a special historical tour of the Zoo, and more! 

Canadian Museum for Human Rights March 29- April 6

• Free admission for children 12 and under
• From Tuesday through Saturday, April 1–5, you will also find free family‐friendly arts, crafts, reading, guided activities, and performances.

City of Winnpieg indoor pools March 20- April 5

• The City of Winnipeg has FREE and cheap swim times at pools across the city, from March 20th to April 5th, 2025.

Living Prairie Museum March 31- April 4

• Drop in to visit the hands-on displays and plant your own prairie flower to take home! Admission is free.
• Can’t wait to get outside? You can also take a walk on the Living Prairie Museum trails and visit the Nature Playground, which are open all day, every day of the year.

Manitoba Museum March 29- April 6

• Programming for all ages
• Journey through time and across Manitoba in the Museum Galleries. Explore a trail of fascinating finds in the Galleries you might not otherwise see and investigate a variety of hands-on, pop-up activities happening all week.

The Leaf March 31- April 4

• Programming for all ages
• Take a tropical trip to the leaf this spring break and enjoy gardener chats, a scavenger hunt and story time. 

Royal Canadian Aviation Museum March 29- April 6

• Programming for all ages
• Get ready to explore the cosmos at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada! The exciting space-themed experience will immerse young explorers in hands-on activities inspired by astronaut training, space science, and the wonders of the universe.

St. Vital Centre March 30- April 4

• Programming for 10 and under
• Plan for an exciting lineup of FREE family-friendly events during Spring Break at St. Vital Centre! Their Kids Club has planned a week full of adventure, learning, and fun activities that you won’t want to miss.  

Winnipeg Public Library March 29- April 6

• Programming for kids and teens
• Visit the library this Spring Break for fun programs for kids and teens. Celebrate the books of Mo Willems with Elephant and Piggie, listen to the music of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, or learn how to detect DNA in a STEM program led by University of Manitoba students, plus much more.
