The Kindersley Jr. Klippers will be looking to build off their 3-2 overtime win in Game 4 Wednesday, facing a must-win situation Saturday night against the Melfort Mustangs to stay alive in the SJHL playoffs and send the series back to Kindersley.

The Klippers went down 3-0 in the series after they lost the first two games in Melfort last weekend and then lost by one goal in Game 3 on Tuesday. After a slow start Wednesday in Game 4, the team battled back in the third period and overtime to get back in the series, Kindersley's first playoff win since 2019, also against Melfort.

Shayne Tibbles scored the game winner on Wednesday and comes into Game 5 as the Klippers leading scorer in the playoffs with two goals and two assists. The Klippers have gone back and forth in the crease between Brett O'Halloran and Cody Jaman, the latter coming off a 29 save performance on Wednesday to perhaps earn the inside track in net for Saturday.

Puck drop for Game 5 is set for 7:30 in Melfort. If the Klippers can get the job done, Game 6 would be played Monday night back in Kindersley at the same time.
