Thomas Bruce Little
With heartfelt sorrow we announce that Thomas “Bruce” Little, formerly of Portage la Prairie, passed away in the early morning hours of March 16th, 2025 at the age of 53.
Born December, 29th, 1971, in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Bruce lived a very vibrant life, full of love, family, and friends. He touched many lives during his 53 years, and his spirit eternally lives on in the hearts of his loved ones.
Growing up in Portage la Prairie, Bruce attended Cresecentview Elementary and moved on to Arthur Meighen High school, where he developed a passion for music and media. From the age of 15 he worked at MTN television station and MidCanada Productions becoming an incredible editor, audio mixer and business owner of iSplice Films in Winnipeg. His documentary films Drive for Free 1&2 sparked public interest with the Manitoba Electric Vehicle Association when he built a fully electric truck.
Bruce will be remembered for his love of family and friends, the bands Rush and Steely Dan and the artist Frank Zappa, his love of cooking, and a good drink.
Bruce is survived by his partner Julie Hackett, daughter Sarah Little, mother Gerry Little, sisters Lisa Cham and Sandy Little (Reg and Molly Fogarty).
Bruce, your love for life, will be with us forever.
A celebration of life took place in Winnipeg at the Universal Unitarian Church.
