The U11 AA Wheatland Hawks came home empty-handed following the Hockey Alberta Provincial Championship over the weekend.
The tournament took place at the Strathmore Family Centre and featured eight teams from across the province.
On Thursday, Mar. 27, the Hawks played their first game against the Red Deer Chiefs. The Hawks were defeated 11-1.
The Hawks' next game was on Friday against the Lakeland Panthers, where they lost 7-1.
The Strathmore-based team's final game was on Saturday against the Leduc Roughnecks. Despite putting up a good fight, the Hawks were defeated 5-4, which eliminated them out of the tournament.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes won the championship, defeating the Wainwright Polar Kings 6-3.
The tournament marks the end of the season for the Wheatland Hawks.
