This past Saturday (March 29, 2025), Rising Above hosted their "Hope Still Lives" fundraising banquet at the Tara Centre. There were almost 800 people in attendance with a grand total of $276,382 raised for the non-profit.
The event featured life-changing stories from those who have graduated from Rising Above’s 6-month residential treatment program, a live and silent auction, entertainment, and a dinner.
Rising Above, in Grande Prairie, is set to start the construction of a new facility this year. The capital campaign is over 60 per cent of its $5 million-dollar fundraising goal. They are planning to start construction of the facility this spring. The new building will increase bed capacity for individuals seeking recovery and will come equipped with multiuse spaces, meeting rooms, office spaces, and opportunities for future development.
Rising Above also provides programming and supports in Fort St. John, Peerless Trout First Nation, and Peterborough.
