Wilkie's McLurg School Broncs senior girls basketball team took home the silver medal from HOOPLA at the end of March after two exciting games.

We talked to coach Mark Myszczyszyn after HOOPLA, where he dropped an extra nugget about a few of his Grade 12 players.

"Quite proud of three of my seniors. Reese Fenrich, Cheyanne Cey, and Tyra Myszczyszyn. They all got selected to the all-star classic game in April." said Myszczyszyn.

"Pretty good accomplishment for them to be recognized by coaches and other basketball people in the province, to have them standout and get a chance to play one more game for high school basketball."

Joining the McLurg athletes are a full group of selected seniors across the 1A-5A divisions. Athletes were chosen from a pool of more than 300 nominations to take part in the game, and nine players from the region made the cut.
