Darla Lowenberg Obituary
1944 ~ 2025 (age 80)
Darla (Siggelkow) Lowenberg was born in Oak Lake, Manitoba on November 18, 1944 to Ernie and Clara Siggelkow. She enjoyed growing up in a pastor’s family in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. She loved to read and was a great student. She received theGovernor General’s Award for high academic standing. As a young child, Darla accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and entrusted her life and future to Him. She attended Full Gospel Bible Institute (Eston College) where she met her life-long love, Wayne Lowenberg. They married on May 1, 1965, and were later blessed with their children Kowanda and Andre.
Darla and Wayne served the Lord together in pastoral ministry, as missionaries to Taiwan, and on staff at FGBI where she worked in accounting. Darla loved her family very much. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. She was also a caring and faithful friend to many. Darla was very creative, and this showed in ways such as cake decorating and scrapbooking, preserving special memories of family, friends, and travels. Altogether she created over fifty beautiful scrapbooks. She also enjoyed researching family history and listening to southern gospel music. Darla faced life’s challenges with faith and bravery. She lived with health issues due to multiple myeloma for over eleven years. She spent the past two years at Eston Jubilee Lodge. Darla passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on March 28, 2025 at Eston, Saskatchewan.
