Semi-truck involved in fatal hit-and-run found in Rocky View County

Calgary police have charged a man following a hit-and-run collision that killed a 57-year-old woman.

On Tuesday night, the woman was struck by a semi-truck and trailer combination on the bridge deck of Nose Hill Drive N.W., which fled the scene.

A maintenance vehicle stopped and provided first aid to the woman.

Just after, a black RAM truck then hit a post and cable barrier before striking the rear of the maintenance truck.

The semi-truck was found Wednesday in Rocky View County and was determined to be the vehicle that left the scene without stopping.

Gaganpreet Singh has been charged with hit-and-run causing death.

Singh is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, April 4.
