Daytime highs in the plus double digits are expected this weekend thanks to a high-pressure system moving out and a warm push from the west is on its way.
Meteorologist with Environment Canada Stephen Berg said overnight lows being into the double minus digits could make for a true freeze-thaw.
"It might end up getting some pooling on surfaces and then overnight some ice developing and might get a bit slippery in places, so people will have to be careful in certain areas where there's still a fair bit of snow melt going on."
Temperatures are pleasant throughout next week otherwise. Beyond that, however, Berg added it's too far out to say if the truly 'springtime' weather is here to stay.
