The Strathmore Municipal Library is hosting a delicious literary event.
On Saturday, Apr. 5, the library will put on its annual Edible Book Day, with the event set to start at noon.
The contest involves residents creating cakes and other sweets based off of their favourite books. The event begins with a public viewing and voting before the prizes are awarded at 2 p.m.
Some of the categories include Family, Juvenile, and Adult, with the top three winners being recognized each year.
Previous entries include plenty of Dr. Seuss books, the Harry Potter series, and Hatchet by Gary Paulsen.
Entries are still being accepted until the event begins.
