1 person hospitalized after fire in Tyndall Park

One person is in hospital after a fire in Tyndall Park late Friday afternoon. 

The fire broke out in a home on Kinver Avenue just before 5 p.m. on Friday. 

Due to the intensity of the fire, crews were forced to launch a defensive attack. Once it was safe enough, firefighters entered the home and fought the fire from inside.

Crews also located and rescued a person from inside the home. They were transported to hospital in unstable condition.

The fire was declared under control shortly after 8 p.m.

The home sustained significant damage from fire, smoke, and water.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
