The Famous 5 exhibit is coming to the High River Library.
The exhibit refers to the five pioneering Alberta women who fought for women to be recognized as persons in Canada.
The Famous 5 Foundation is presenting its 'Trailblazers Tour' right across Alberta this year.
This Saturday, a special 'Pink Tea' celebration is happening between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
'Pink Teas' were once used to disguise social gatherings where women would organize suffragette events without interference from men or other opponents.
It's free to attend, but you must RSVP the Library to ensure they have enough seating.
Special guest speaker Frances Wright, CEO and Co-Founder of the Famous 5 Foundation, will be in attendance along with other inspiring women of High River. They will discuss equality issues locally and share stories of the Famous 5. There will be light refreshments.
It's already made a stop in Okotoks at the Municipal Centre just last month.
One of the Famous 5, Louise McKinney, was well known in the Claresholm area, and is the next stop on the tour following its appearance in High River.
