High River's Chase Morgan is hitting up the Mucky Duck pub in town on Friday night.
The local Country music singer-songwriter will be playing some of his hits along with some new music.
One of the new songs was played on the 99.7 Sun Country Morning Show with Charlie Brown on Thursday morning.
"This one is one that I wrote just after a trip down to Nashville, and I picked up Johnny Cash's autobiography, and he was talking a little about his dad in there. So, this is a little bit loosely based on his dad, Ray Cash."
The new song delves into how Johnny Cash's dad was known to ride the rails, hopping on trains going across the country, looking for work.
To hear it live, you'll need to see him perform it at the Mucky Duck.
You'll get a lot more, too, as he's lined up an opening act that hasn't performed in High River before.
Calgary artist Luke Colborne of Lucky Sonne fame is coming.
"Yeah, we have Lucky Sonne or Luke Colborne coming in, and he has kind of a Dylanesque kind of feel to him, but he's very diverse and eclectic and just a great songwriter. So, I'm excited to showcase him and introduce him to High River a little bit more."
Luke will get the night started at 6 p.m. with Chase hitting the stage at 7.
