Arrest Warrants
On April 10th at 2:00AM a pedestrian check in the 1400 block of Victoria Avenue revealed an endorsed Warrant of Arrest (Failure to Attend Court, Failure to Comply Probation). The 32-year-old female was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of May 12th, 2025.
On April 9th at 7:00AM Police were called to a residence in the 500 block of Percy Street due to an argument between a sober youth couple, both aged 14. It was found that the 14-year-old male had a Warrant for his arrest (Failure to Comply Probation). The female girlfriend took a cab home, and the male was arrested. He was held in detention cells on the strength of his unendorsed Warrant and attended court.
On April 9th at 9:50AM Police attended a residence in the 200 block of 4th Street on an unrelated matter and located a 40-year-old male who was known to Police to have a Warrant for his Arrest. Warrant was confirmed (Theft Under $5000) and the male was arrested, brought to BPS detention cells, and attended court.
Three other Warrants were executed for other agencies – Thompson RCMP, Winnipeg Police Service and Russell RCMP. One was released on an Appearance Notice, one was held in detention cells for court in the morning on April 10th, and one Warrant of Arrest was given while in custody at Brandon Correctional Centre.
On Apil 10th at 10:20AM members attended a residence in the 4100 block of Victoria Avenue to execute a warrant. A 22-year-old female was located and transported to Brandon Police Service. (BPS). She was later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of May 12th, 2025.
On April 10th a 35-year-old male turned himself into BPS aware of a Warrant for his arrest (Assault). He was released via Undertaking with a court date of June 19th, 2025.
Assault / Assault with Weapon/Injuring or Endangering Animals
On April 10th at 11:06AM Police received a report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance in a home in the 100 block of 2nd Street. Upon Police arrival it was discovered that the 21-year-old female had been drinking all morning. She had shaken, swung and further mistreated a cat, attempted tackling her grandmother, as well as she had used a wet rag and whipped her mother in the head with it. The female was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning.
Breach of the Peace / IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
In the last 24 hours three people were arrested on separate incidents for Breach of the Peace and one person for IPDA. Each individual was held in a detention cell and will be released once sober in the morning.
Failure to Comply Release Order
On April 11th at 3:12AM a traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of 1st Street. A 44-year-old female passenger was found to be breaching a 10pm-7am Release Order curfew. She was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of June 19th, 2025.
