Snowfall warnings for parts of Alberta’s Rockies and Foothills were no longer in effect as of Saturday afternoon, according to Environment Canada.
The alerts were issued Friday as a fast-moving weather system approached the region. Environment Canada warned that rapidly accumulating snow could reduce visibility and make travel hazardous, particularly at higher elevations.

Motorists were advised to drive with caution and prepare for changing road conditions.

Airdrie forecast: Flurries possible, wind chill a factor
Airdrie wasn’t under a snowfall warning, but the weekend weather brought cooler temperatures and a risk of flurries.
Friday night: Winds gusting up to 60 km/h eased by midnight under clear skies. The temperature dropped to -7 C, with wind chills near -10.
Saturday: Cloud cover moved in during the morning, with a chance of scattered rain showers or flurries. Winds remained light, but the morning wind chill hovered around -10. The high reached 3 C.
Saturday night: Skies are expected to clear in the evening, with a low of -8 C and wind chills near -11.
