Update Pembina Valley RCMP investigate fire of church in Carman - April 14, 2025

 Further investigation by Pembina Valley RCMP has led them to identify two persons of interest in the Carman church fire.

The attached photos are from video surveillance, and RCMP are seeking the public's help in identifying the individuals in the photos.

If anyone has any information, please contact the Carman detachment at 204-745-6760.

The investigation continues.

 

Pembina Valley RCMP investigate fire of church in Carman - March 14, 2025

 On March 13, 2025, at approximately 4:15 am, Pembina Valley RCMP were dispatched to a fire inside a church on 2nd Street SW in Carman.

When officers arrived, Carman Fire and Emergency Medical Services were already on scene. Firefighters were not able to enter the building as the floor had already collapsed into the basement.

There was no one inside the building at the time, and there were no injuries.

As the fire is being deemed suspicious, Pembina Valley RCMP are asking anyone that may have video footage between the hours of 3:30 am – 4:30 am to contact the detachment at 204-745-6760.

The RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate.
