A recent fundraiser brought in over $1.7 million for STARS.

It was the 31st annual Enserva STARS & Spurs Gala, the non-profit's longest-running fundraiser.

The event, held on Saturday, April 12, featured an Indigenous fashion show, an auction, live entertainment, and speeches from STARS Very Important Patients (VIPs).

Since its inception in 1994, the event has raised close to $24 million for STARS.

Enserva was previously known as the Petroleum Services Association of Canada, having changed its name in 2022.

“This event and the outpouring of support that it receives each and every year is a true testament to the dedication of our industry in supporting the life-saving work that STARS provides across Western Canada. With over 60,000 missions completed by STARS since 1985, their impact on our communities is vital,” said Enserva president and CEO, Gurpreet Lail, in a media release.

Earlier this month, a first-time event, the Critical Care on the Air Radiothon, raised over $565,000 for STARS.
