Biggar RCMP had their hands full over the past week looking at their April 14 report.

The fuel theft above may have started the report, but the headline call didn't come until two days later on April 9 when a suspicious vehicle was reported lurking around Main Street in Biggar.
"Report of a (passenger vehicle) driving slowly up and down an alley near Main Street in Biggar which drew concern from the caller that the occupants may be driving around attempting to steal copper wire."
Biggar RCMP went on patrol and managed to intercept the vehicle in questions. They didn't find anything illegal in nature, but did uncover an outstanding warrant out of Saskatoon.
"While not found with any stolen property or evidence to net them any criminal charge, one of the occupants was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Saskatoon and released with a new court date in Saskatoon." shared Biggar RCMP as nothing further was required, the subjects in questions leaving quickly after the visit with police.

A busy week for members continued the next day, April 10, after another suspicious vehicle report. The vehicle in question drove into the business parking lot and left the property after a brief look at a parked vehicle on the grounds.
April 12 saw police responding to a collision between a pair of vehicles on Main Street, where thankfully all occupants involved were uninjured, only one vehicle damaged to the point where it was no longer safe to drive.
A call for assistance on April 13 led Biggar RCMP to Landis. A 911 caller said they went for a walk but got lost, as police were able to locate the individual in the Landis region and return them back home. That wasn't the only call for concern as Biggar RCMP received a total of three well-being checks between April 10-13, and thankfully all parties were located safe and sound.
Perhaps the busiest day for the report came as members were finalizing it. The day started with the Department of Highways reporting a theft of batteries from one of their mobile sign boards located along Highway #4, and then the other Monday call put members on the tail of a white truck pulling an empty flat deck trailer, speeding past farmyards in the Kinley area at speeds exceeding 100 km/h.
It eventually got stuck in the mud after going down a dead-end road. The vehicle got itself loose and left the vicinity of the area before police could locate them, as patrols were made but were ultimately unsuccessful.
