The Town of High River is almost ready for the annual Spring Green Sweep of the town.
They still need volunteers to help clean up the town, and they're also doing something new this year.
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is going to be here to help with recycling or disposing of any unwanted electronics, including laptops and computers.
They're bringing a hard drive shredder in case you have sensitive material you'd like permanently destroyed, but the non-profit does work on refurbishing and donating them.
The Foothills Family Community Support Services (FCSS) is providing an EnviroShred truck if you're looking to shred paper documents.
Tipping fees at the Foothills Regional Landfill will also be waived from May 1 to the 3.
Volunteers are asked to meet in the East parking lot of the Bob Snograss Rec Plex to get a map, a safety orientation and complimentary hot coffee. Volunteers will also have a brown bag lunch prepared for them at the end of the event.
You can also drop off small appliances at the parking lot for recycling, including microwaves, clocks, fans, hair dryers, heaters, irons, toasters, shavers and vacuums.
Televisions, computer monitors, desktop computers, laptops, tablets, keyboards, mice, desktop printers, and more will also be accepted.
It runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.
