The City of Chestermere will clean up the area for Pitch-In Week.
The week-long event runs from April 20 to 26 and aims to help clean the city and remove litter from local streets.
City council is inviting residents to join them for a community-wide cleanup following their regular council meeting on April 22.
"If you require supplies, you may stop by City Hall, beginning Earth Day, to pick up gloves and a bag," wrote the city via social media.
The cleanup takes place at several locations, including Dawson Pond, Kinniburgh Storm Pond, and the pond at Chestermere Boulevard and Rainbow Road.
"Everyone is welcome to join, and our community operations team will have bins available in the Recreation Centre parking lot from 3 to 6 p.m. to collect and sort trash and recycling that same day."
Other locations being cleaned include the pond off merganser, the canal on the south side of Chestermere Lake, and next to Westcreek Auto Wash.
The Chestermere Public Library is also doing an Earth Day cleanup at Chestermere Lake on April 27.
