The five candidates in the running for the Moose Jaw-Lake Centre-Lanigan riding will be at the Grant Hall Hotel this evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to take part in an All-Candidates Forum during which, they will speak about election issues raised by their constituents, talk about policy, and answer questions from attendees.

The Forum is hosted by the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce and Discover Moose Jaw, with Chamber CEO Rob Clark moderating the event.

Watch the live stream here! The live stream will go live shortly before 6:30 p.m.

“Hopefully we, the Chamber, can engage the community around the election, and educate the voters who haven't made up their minds yet. This would be a great opportunity to do so.”

The forum will begin with introductions, Clark explained, followed by a Q&A format surrounding a number of topics, including some set by the Chamber.

“We actually have sort of picked on a little bit of growth and prosperity. We sent them off a couple (of questions) for them to chat about and... labor and workforce development, some energy and infrastructure, and supply chains.”

The forum is open to the public, and Clark said that Grant Hall can seat up to 120 attendees, and they are hoping to surpass the high-water mark set during the last forum held by the Chamber, which saw a little over 100 stop in.

Discover Moose Jaw is hosting a livestream of the event for those unable to attend in person, but Clark said that there are some perks for coming down to check out the forum.

“The earlier they get there, they might have a little bit (of time) to even connect with a couple of the candidates. I've been telling the candidates to get there for 6 o’clock”

“They’ll probably want to work the room and maybe some of the people that are coming to attend might have a couple of one-on-ones with them. It’s a great opportunity.”
