Airdrie RCMP say the increased police presence near Mackenzie Way SW and Channelside Way SW concluded just before noon on Wednesday.
Officers had earlier advised the public of a visible presence in the area due to an ongoing investigation. At the time, Mounties stated there was no risk to the public and said updates would be provided when appropriate.
No additional details about the nature of the investigation have been released.
