What began as a chance meeting during mission work in Uganda has blossomed into a life-changing ministry—both for Chasity and Nixon Katabira, and for the hundreds of youth they serve through Love All Ministries.
A fateful meeting in Uganda
Chasity, originally from Winkler, hadn’t planned on going to Uganda. But a last-minute opportunity took her there in 2017, where she met Nixon, a local leader managing a staff house and running a small music studio. Both were involved in youth outreach and pastoral training, and it didn’t take long to discover a shared passion.
“We had the same heart—to help young people know they belong, that they matter, and that they have purpose,” says Chasity.
Nixon admits he knew early on that Chasity was special. “I even wrote a song with a hidden marriage proposal,” he laughs. “But she totally friend-zoned me. She didn’t trust easily.”
Despite the initial distance—both emotionally and geographically—they stayed in touch when Chasity returned to Canada. Over time, their connection grew into something deeper. Today, the couple is married with five children—and one more on the way.

Launching 'Love All Ministries'
Together, they co-founded Love All Ministries, a faith-based initiative dedicated to equipping young people in Uganda with the tools, training, and spiritual foundation they need to thrive.
Nixon had envisioned this ministry for years. “I’ve always wanted to give back to the next generation of young people, especially those facing hardship,” Nixon explains. “It’s been my dream since high school to make a difference.”
One of the central aspects of their ministry is the youth centre, which is open every day and serves as a safe space for young people who might not have access to education or mentorship otherwise. In Uganda, education comes at a cost—many families can’t afford school fees, leaving youth idle, vulnerable, and without direction.
The centre provides a sanctuary where young people can learn valuable life skills and gain hope for the future.
Skills for life and faith
Recognizing the need for vocational training, the youth centre offers courses in:
-
Woodworking and metalwork
-
Sewing and crocheting
-
Farming
-
Biblical leadership development
The goal of these programs is not only to prepare youth for employment but to raise leaders who can create jobs in their own communities. “Imagine a leader who starts by asking, ‘Would I want this done to me?’” Nixon says. “That kind of thinking can transform a nation.”
Raising leaders through faith
At Love All Ministries, the focus isn’t just on job skills—it’s on integrity. By grounding youth in Biblical truth, Nixon and Chasity aim to equip them with the values that will guide them through tough situations.
“The true change comes from within,” Chasity says. “When they know who they are in Christ, even when things go wrong, they have a solid foundation to return to.”
The next chapter: Returning to Uganda
Chasity and Nixon are preparing to return to Uganda full-time with their children. Fun fact: Their boys were born in Uganda, while their girls were born in Canada!
“We are so excited to go back,” says Chasity. “We have such a strong connection to the community, and we know the work we’re doing is making a real difference.”
How you can support
As Love All Ministries continues its important work, there are several ways you can get involved:
-
Pray: The family needs encouragement and strength to continue their calling.
-
Give: Financial donations help keep the youth centre open, support teachers, sponsor children for schooling, and provide food through their “Meal Share” program.
-
Attend Events: Enjoy a concert, like the Classic Country or Country Gospel shows in Winkler, and know that your ticket purchase is directly supporting the lives of young people in Uganda.
One of the most powerful stories shared by Nixon and Chasity? A young man, on track to become an imam, (a leader in the muslim community) gave his life to Christ after attending fellowship gatherings hosted by Love All Ministries. “That’s the impact of presence, consistency, and love,” Nixon says.
The work of Love All Ministries is not just about changing lives; it’s about empowering young people to change their communities and their world. Through faith, love, and skills training, Nixon and Chasity are laying the groundwork for future leaders who will lead with integrity and compassion.
