Elections Canada has released advance polling numbers from each electoral district in Canada.

An estimated 7.3 million Canadians voted in advance polls from April 18 to 21, a 25 per cent increase over the 2021 election.

Of those, 815,131 early votes were cast in Alberta.

The Foothills riding saw 26,309 advance votes cast.

Neighbouring ridings saw similar turnout, with 21,974 in Bow River, 17,291 in Lethbridge, and 17,144 in Medicine Hat—Cardston—Warner.

The Foothills riding covers a large swath of Southern Alberta, stretching as far north as Bragg Creek, and down to the U.S. Border.

It includes the towns of Black Diamond, Claresholm, Fort Macleod, High River, Nanton, Okotoks, Pincher Creek, Stavely, Turner Valley, and Vulcan, and the municipal districts of Foothills County, Pincher Creek No. 9, Ranchland No. 66, and Willow Creek No. 26.

Millions of Canadians will head to the polls on election day, scheduled for April 28.
