There's no denying that wildfire season has arrived in Alberta, with fire crews across the Foothills being kept busy in recent weeks.

The latest outdoor fire responses were from Diamond Valley Fire Rescue on Thursday, April 24.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, Diamond Valley crews responded to two separate fires on the same afternoon.

Just days earlier, they responded to a sizeable grass fire and were assisted by the Okotoks and Foothills County fire departments.

Okotoks and High River RCMP have also had to respond to grass firesĀ amid on-and-off dry, windy conditions over the last few weeks.

Diamond Valley Fire Rescue is taking the opportunity to remind the public of the importance of fire permits and caution with recreational outdoor fires, especially under windy conditions.

Foothills County is under a Fire Advisory as of April 25.
