As of 9:37 p.m., incumbent Conservative candidate Blake Richards was leading the Airdrie-Cochrane riding with 21,643 votes (72.4 per cent) and 138 of 210 of the polling stations reporting. It is projected that Richards will win the riding.

A little before 8:30 (MST), The Canadian Press decision desk projects that the Liberal Party of Canada under Mark Carney will form the next government.
"Whether that's a minority or majority government is still to be seen," the Canadian press noted.
