To help support the Goodwater Community Hall and their kitchen renovation, they’re hosting their 4th annual BBQ Brisket Take Out meal fundraiser. Until May 2nd, you can order a full brisket meal with all the fixings for just $30 a plate. Dakota Holliday, organizer of the fundraiser, talks about the great food and the reasoning for the fundraising.
"This is going to be our 4th annual BBQ brisket takeout meal that we're offering. Again, we've had really great turnouts in the past. It's $30 a plate. It comes with brisket, beans, potato salad, au jus, and dessert as well. What makes this fundraiser special is that we also offer delivery to our surrounding communities. This year, we're offering delivery to Weyburn, Griffin, Radville, Midale, Ceylon, Tribune, and Oungre. Our big project is trying to renovate our kitchen, which has needed some upgrades for a few years now."
The Goodwater Community Hall will have the full fundraiser on May 9th, with some tables available to go and sit and socialize. They’re aiming to have this be a delivery/takeout fundraiser, so they encourage people to contact them before the May 2nd deadline, so they have enough food for everyone.
They are also offering catering services for businesses, so if you have a large group of people or are a business, contact the organizers to set up a few trays of brisket and fixings, a great way to feed a bigger group and support a local community hall as well.
