Airdrie's Inspire (the new multi-use facility and library) is reaching new milestones each week.
Last week, the signage was revealed on the east side of the building.
According to the city, earlier this month, Inspire is still expected to be ready to open by September of 2025. The parade and landscape grading have also been a recent priority for the project.
"Each of the seven red poles is 40 ft. long, forming a tipi at the height of 35 ft. and 6 in., symbolizing the bond between mother Earth and father sky and honouring each of the Treaty 7 First Nations: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Tsuut’ina, and the Stoney Nakoda Nations—Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney," stated the city.
"The Airdrie Public Library is thrilled to announce that it has officially reached its ambitious fundraising goal of $1.5 million dedicated to the expansion of its collection, marking a significant milestone in its mission to serve the growing and diverse needs of the Airdrie community," stated the library.
According to the library, this accomplishment results from the amazing cooperation of local citizens, companies, community partners, and library advocates who have united to promote the future of learning, culture, and literacy in Airdrie.
Programming and booking availabilities for the building will be available soon.
