A section of Highway 566 east of Balzac has fully reopened after a motor vehicle collision shut down the road on Friday afternoon.

Airdrie Rural RCMP were on scene at Range Road 284 after a crash forced a full closure in both directions. Officers confirmed that traffic could not proceed through the area and advised drivers to take alternate routes.
The collision was first reported by 511 Alberta at 2:17 p.m., with an advisory noting the closure and urging motorists to avoid the area. By 4:01 p.m., 511 Alberta confirmed the highway had reopened to traffic.
No information has been released regarding injuries or the cause of the crash.
Motorists were advised to expect delays during the closure.
