The Winnipeg Jets were less than two minutes away from golfing last night, trailing the visiting St. Louis Blues 3-1 in Game 7 of the first-round NHL playoff series. Cole Perfetti, with three seconds left on the clock, forced overtime where Adam Lowry scored the winner at 16:10 of the second O-T to give the Jets a thrilling 4-3 victory. The Jets will face another Game 7 survivor in the Dallas Stars on Wednesday when the second-round series opens in Winnipeg. 

The Saskatchewan Rush are one win away from a berth in the National Lacrosse League championship.

Austin Shanks scored six goals against his former team to lead the Rush in a 16-7 win over the Halifax Thunderbirds on Saturday night in Game 1 of their best-of-three semifinal. The Rush will look to close out the series this Saturday at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. If needed, Game 3 will be Sunday night right back at the SaskTel Centre.

Over to minor lacrosse, the Moose Jaw junior Mustangs held their home opener on Saturday and defeated the Regina Chaos 16-12 to remain undefeated.

And finally, in Major League Baseball yesterday, Gabriel Arias had three hits and two runs batted in, and the Cleveland Guardians beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4. The Blue Jays dropped two of three to the Guardians to split a six-game homestand.
