J & D's Attic celebrated ten years in High River on Saturday with a huge cake, a BBQ and live music.

Owner Danielle Labelle started the store after hosting garage sale after garage sale, realizing there was a bigger need in the community.

The store has been selling everything from antiques to collectibles to used household goods, tools, clothing, books, music and furniture.

Two volunteers, Don and Richard, hopped on the barbecue and cooked up well over 100 jumbo-sized hot dogs and fed the enthusiastic crowd along with bags of chips, water and coffee and Timbits.

Patsy, another friend and volunteer, helped with the guest book, and Danielle's sister helped serve cake while a duo sang inside the store throughout the day.

A few hundred well-wishers attended, enjoying the festivities, purchasing some items and sharing some stories and laughs.

Labelle shared how incredibly blessed she was, even shedding a few tears of gratitude, so grateful for the support from the community over the past decade.

She also reminds that Mother's Day is coming up this Sunday, and she has a lot of items moms would love.
