At the latest Rocky View Schools (RVS) Board of Trustees meeting, the trustees designated which schools students in two new communities will be attending.
The two communities include Vantage Rise in Airdrie and Goldwyn in Rocky View County, just south of Airdrie.
"Students moving into two new communities in Airdrie and Rocky View County are anticipated to begin attending RVS schools in 2025/26," stated RVS.
According to RVS, the designations include:
"Administration reviewed utilization projections for schools in RVS and recommended school accommodation designations for students from these new communities, which best utilize the available student spaces in our already crowded Airdrie schools."
The designations will not impact any of the current students or the Balancing Airdrie Student Spaces implementation.
Also at the latest trustee meeting, students who garnered 100 per cent on January diploma exams were recognized. Those include:
- Bastian Benner
- Christian Labonte
- Noah Azzaria-Byrne
- Pavneet Gill
- Abigail Lewis
- Katherina Ma
- Kai Unger
Diploma exams happen twice a year within RVS.
