Winnipeg man, 34, dead after collision near Stonewall

A 34-year-old man from Winnipeg is dead following a collision Sunday morning near Stonewall.

The crash happened around 10 a.m. on Highway 67, just east of Highway 7 in the Rural Municipality of Rockwood.

Stonewall RCMP say a semi was travelling west on Highway 67 when an SUV in the eastbound lanes crossed the dividing line and collided head-on with the semi truck. 

The driver of the SUV, a 34-year-old man from Winnipeg, was transported to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 41-year-old man from Selkirk, was not injured.

Stonewall RCMP and the RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
