The Winnipeg Humane Society has started a new campaign to find forever homes for four long-term shelter dogs.
New billboards will go up across the city, featuring four dogs who have been in the shelter for 150 days or more, in hopes that they will reach the right family.
The four dogs, Colt, Benny Blanco, Rambo and Dale, will be featured on 38 billboards across the city. One of the dogs featured, Benny, has recently marked a full year in care.
"These dogs have been waiting far too long for a home. They are well-loved in the shelter and have been given so much attention and care, but nothing compares to a real family. The more eyes we can get on them, the higher the chances they’ll find that. We know they all have a special home out there," says Darell Hominuk, director of adoptions at the WHS.
The four dogs are part of the WHS Starter Pack Promo, which includes a reduced adoption fee of $100, a $75 gift card to the WHS Pet Shop, and five weeks of training classes.
