Four hockey players with ties to Airdrie were selected in the 2025 Western Hockey League (WHL) Prospects Draft.
Goaltender Karter Gibson was selected 65th overall in the third round by the Tri-City Americans. He played for Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep and is listed as being from Airdrie.
Centre Owen Grassick was picked 80th overall in the fourth round by the Moose Jaw Warriors. He played with the Airdrie U15 AAA Xtreme and is listed as being from Cochrane.
Goaltender Kelvin Gamlin, from Airdrie, was selected 114th overall in the fifth round by the Seattle Thunderbirds. He played with the Airdrie U15 AA Lightning.
Left winger Jett Stone, also from Airdrie, was drafted 182nd overall in the eighth round by the Calgary Hitmen. He played with the Airdrie U15 AAA Xtreme.
