Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a snowfall warning for parts of K-Country.

Heavy, wet snow is expected to cover higher elevations from Kananaskis Village down to Highwood House at Hwy 940.

Between 10 and 15 cm is expected at high elevations, including the Highwood Pass.

The heaviest snowfall is expected Monday night, eventually tapering off tomorrow morning.

This could cause deteriorating travel conditions, especially along Highway 40.

Highway 40 is only accessible via Highway 1 near the Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino.

Highway 40 at the Highwood Junction of Hwy 940 doesn't open to traffic until June 15th due to closures to protect wildlife.
