RCMP in Warman are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a disturbing sexual offence south of Saskatoon.

On May 9, at around 12:30 p.m., police received a report of an incident at a business located off Highway 762. Investigators say an unknown adult male lured a child under the age of six to a secluded area on the property and exposed himself.

The offence was interrupted by the child’s family, and the suspect fled into a nearby wooded area. Police say the child was not physically harmed.

A search of the area was conducted with assistance from Saskatchewan RCMP’s Police Dog Services, but the suspect was not located.

The man is described as approximately six feet tall with a medium build, light complexion, and medium-length curly blonde hair. He is clean-shaven and has visible spaces between his teeth. At the time of the offence, he was wearing a black baseball cap, grey mirrored sunglasses, a blue shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

A forensic sketch of the suspect has been released by RCMP.

Warman RCMP continue to investigate and are urging anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area on May 9, or who may recognize the man, to contact the detachment at 310-RCMP. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.

Police are not releasing further details about the child to protect their identity.
