Two motorists were temporarily pulled off the road by Morden police officers this past week after they blew warnings on the Roadside Screening Device.
The first fell subject to the test after police spotted an open beer can next to the driver, in their cup holder, during a traffic stop.
The second provided a sample after officers smelled liquor coming from their breath, also during a traffic stop.
Each driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension, their vehicles impounded for 3 days and fined $400.

This past week also saw the city's police officers hand out 11 speeding tickets to motorists.
Additional citations outlined in the department's latest activities report include:
One ticket each for:
- failing to stop at a railway crossing with a stop sign, and for driving an unregistered vehicle - each of which carries a fine of $298
- driving while disqualified which carries a hefty $672 fine.
- one ticket for unlawful transportation of liquor in motor vehicle which carries a fine of $237
- one by-law ticket for parked contrary to signage and;
- a written warning for parking in no parking zone
