A vehicle engulfed in flames Tuesday evening caused a traffic jam on the northbound QEII near Airdrie. The scene has since been cleared.

Airdrie fire crews responded to the incident just south of Yankee Valley Boulevard and confirmed that fire crews did extinguish it. A social media post from the city's Fire Chief, Mike Pirie, stated that no injuries were reported.

A truck engulfed in flames earlier on Tuesday evening caused a massive gridlock northbound QEII near Airdrie. However, the scene has since been cleared, and fire department officials indicated that there were no injuries.

At one point, traffic was backed up to CrossIron Mills Mall, but the flow has since returned to normal.
